Happy Memorial Day

We'd like to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day. Thank you to all the service men and women who have given their lives for our country, and to those who served in any capacity. Some people forget what this weekend is about, but we're not squared to remember.

This one is inspired by the iconic image of General Patton giving his speech in the film with George C. Scott.

Corned beef leftovers :P

We hope everyone had as great a St. Patrick's Day as we did! Not squared to go green!

Thank a veteran today

Squaredy Cats would like to honor our veterans today, and thank each and every member of our military for their immeasurable service to our great nation.

Squaredy Cats with Ninja skills!

The first ninja Squaredy Cat.

We've had tons of requests to make a ninja Squaredy Cat, and we finally got around to making one. Thanks go to Squaredy Cats fan, Lindsay for the hilarious caption. "Not squared to use my ninja skills" was imagined by her. We're thinking we might do a series that will pop up when you lease expect.

See the ninja cat slideshow on Tumblr.

Pizza! What's YOUR lunch?

This is one messy eater!

We were in a messy mood the day we designed this one. We swear we're really not this messy when eating pizza…but it's not because we're squared. What's your favorite lunch?

Thanks to Earth Day fans

Squaredy Cats celebrate Earth Day EVERY day!

Yesterday was Earth Day, and we ran a contest this week leading up to Earth Day. We yielded four lucky winners who got their names on an Earth Day Squaredy Cat. Congratulations to Alana, Abby, Gabby and Lauren. You can find your personalized Squaredy Cat at this link. Looks like a couple of you already started using your pic as your profile pic on Facebook.
Keep caring about the environment, and thank you for your support.

We'd like to take a moment to remind all our fans that every day is Earth Day. Do your part to keep our environment beautiful and livable.

Looking over a Squaredy clover

There's a lot of great music that comes from Irish artists. When you think of Irish music do you think of traditional line dancing or bagpipes? We think of Black 47, The Corrs, The Chieftains, The Cranberries, House of Pain, The Pogues, and U2. Happy St. Patrick's Day :)

Erin go Meow

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone. We hope you enjoy another safe and happy holiday with our greenest Squaredy Cat ever. This is one of our earlier designs. We couldn't wait to post it, but March seemed to take forever to get here. If you find a four-leaf clover make a wish, and make it a good one. We're not sure if the "wish for infinite more wishes" thing really works, but you may as well give it a shot.

The power of veggies

We had some reservations about the strength of this Squaredy Cat. The art felt a little weak, but we couldn't figure out what to do. The phrase was too important to let go, so we went with it. To our surprise we were flooded with responses to it on the Squaredy Cats Facebook page! We're very happy that so many fans know that just because it's good for you, it doesn't mean it can't be delicious! Keep telling us which veggies are your favorite :)

Smoochy, smoochy <3

Kisses from Squaredy Cats ;*

This is the last of our Christmas cats for 2009. Have a wonderful Christmas time! We hope to see you all in 2010 :)

not squared of apples

This cute little fella has had two captions. It was one of the first few Squaredy Cats designed. This one incorporated the style of using a visual that hearkens to a well-known idiom: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Some people suggested it should be "not squared of needles," so we presented it that way a few times, but we are always pleased when someone "gets it" the way it appeared originally, so we keep it as is.
Take the message a step further, and consider that eating healthy will likely insure you don't have to visit the doctor too often.

not squared to go green

We thought about the last time our environment was important to a large percentage of the populace, so we took the "hippie" element from the 70's and thought we could evoke a Blyth style that was popular in the 70's. This was the first time we used eyes of different sizes, and a warped shape. We were still experimenting, but people seem to like this one a lot, so we keep it the way it is.
The original caption for this was "not squared to recycle," but we wanted the phrase to encompass more in our effort to care for the environment. We ultimately went with the more general, "not squared to go green."

not squared to be holly jolly

Inspired by Burl Ives' "Holly Jolly Christmas."

This is the first of a few Christmas cats we created for the Squaredy Cats style guide several months ago. We'll be posting them sporadically until Christmas.
This one is inspired by the Burl Ives Christmas tune, "Holly Jolly Christmas."

Spread some cheer. Pass it on :)
