...And they told two friends...and so on...

We absolutely LOVE getting fanmail to our snail mail address (find it here), but it's even cooler when fans of Squaredy Cats draw pictures for us! We're artists, and we think everyone else is an artist too! Drawing is so expressive, so when someone takes the time to make a drawing for us we really appreciate it.

So, it turns out we got a letter and drawing from someone whose friend likes Squaredy Cats. Sam's friend Madison drew us a picture, and we returned the favor by sending her a picture we did. So, now we're doing the same for Sam. Sam had a hopping idea to do a bunny Squaredy Cat, so we showed Sam our own Squaredy Cat dressed as a bunny. We're sending you some stickers to say thanks too!

Thanks, Sam!
We're not squared to LOVE 2b a bunny!

National Talk Like A Pirate Day

Yar, me hearties, it's National (International, even) Talk Like A Pirate Day, and we be participatin' to our best abilities. Make yerself savvy to it, and speak to us in the respectful pirate way, ya landlubbers!

Visit our Facebook page, and say something snarky, and visit the interNational Talk Like a Pirate Day Facebook community page, and mention where ya heard of it.

May The Fourth Be With You!

Happy National Star Wars Day from Squaredy Cats (with apologies to George Lucas)! We always wanted to make some Star Wars Squaredy Cats, and now we found the perfect excuse. Maybe we'll add some more to our "Fandom" collection down the line, but for now, here's the personification of Star Wars, Darth Vader himself (with apologies to David Prowse, James Earl Jones, Sebastian Shaw, Hayden Christensen and Jake Lloyd)!

It's Chinese New Year!

Happy New Year! It's the year of the rabbit in China!

We Love Love Love cats AND dogs

Even the creators of Squaredy Cats have a dog. Cats and dogs living together is a microcosmic example of peace. Hope you agree. Don't be squared of dogs (especially if they're just cats in dog costumes).

We're off to see the kitty

This is the last of the Halloween themed cats we did for the Facebook page's collection of 31 Days of Halloween. These Wizard of Oz themed Squaredy Cats were the most fun to design. Our favorite is the flying monkey. Which is yours?

Thank a veteran today

Squaredy Cats would like to honor our veterans today, and thank each and every member of our military for their immeasurable service to our great nation.

Classic Monsters Squaredy Cats

We had a great time designing and posting all our Halloween Squaredy Cats on our Facebook page, so we're sharing them a little at a time on our blog (we neglected it for a short time).

These were Squaredy Cats versions of classic monsters. Which one is your favorite?

Frankenstein as a Squaredy Cat.

The Mummy as a Squaredy Cat.

Dracula as a Squaredy Cat.

The Wolfman as a Squaredy Cat.

Trick or treat

We want to wish everyone a happy Halloween. Have a great time at a party or trick-or-treating this weekend :)

Here are a few more of the October Squaredy Cats we posted on our Facebook page.

What's your Halloween costume?

What's your Halloween costume going to be this year?

We've been posting a new Squaredy Cat every day for the month of October on our Facebook page. We hope you've been enjoying them!

If you don't know what you are going to be for Halloween, maybe we can inspire you with some of the Halloween costumes the Squaredy Cats are wearing :)

Oh, give me a home where the Squaredy Cats roam…

This Squaredy Cat is in a bison/buffalo costume.

Wyoming is the only state with an "ing" at the end making it the only state that's actually doing anything ;) …"What are you doing?" "I'm Wyoming, of course. What does it look like I'm doing?"

Welcome, and thank you to all the fans in Wyoming who voted for their state!

Feeling lucky in Kentucky

Hi, Kentuckians! Welcome, and thank you to everyone from Kentucky who voted for their state. :)

Squaredy Cats with Ninja skills!

The first ninja Squaredy Cat.

We've had tons of requests to make a ninja Squaredy Cat, and we finally got around to making one. Thanks go to Squaredy Cats fan, Lindsay for the hilarious caption. "Not squared to use my ninja skills" was imagined by her. We're thinking we might do a series that will pop up when you lease expect.

See the ninja cat slideshow on Tumblr.

Big, bad voodoo kitty

Hello, and big thanks to all the Squaredy Cats fans in Louisiana!

This is my latest favorite. I love designing new Squaredy Cats, but I especially love to make them fun or weird. It's not the usual M.O. for Squaredy Cats, but they can be anything. Look through our photos on Facebook, and let us know your favorite.

Reminder: If you Tumbl, you can find Squaredy Cats on Tumblr too!

buG•bUg•Bug your store!

Squaredy Cats are buggin'! It's time to start a buzz. We're going to have plush Squaredy Cats in the stores soon! If you want your store to sell them it's time to start bugging them! Tell them GUND is making them, and they should order some. Bug away! ;)

Here's a sneak peak at 4 of the 9 plush Squaredy Cats to be in stores later this year.

Maryland Blue Kitty

Who would have thunk it? This kitty's claws are bigger than evah!

50 States continues. Hello, and thanks to all the Squaredy Cats fans in Maryland!

Find the Squaredy Cat that gave us the idea to this one at this link.

Meeeoooooooo

We're still doing a Squaredy Cat for every state :)

A new state cat will be posted tonight on the Facebook page. For everyone that's wondering we're still doing 50 cats for 50 states. We're going to take some breaks, though. This is a BIG project. If we skip a day or two to post a random cat don't worry. All the states will come in. Keep voting, and get your friends to go to the page, and vote!
Wisconsin was our 11th state to be voted into the album. Who's next?

Here's a bonus from our fan, Kaleigh. She drew this for us :)
Thanks, Kaleigh! We LOVE it!

Loving Kittyhawk

First in Flight.

As we continue our 50 Cats for 50 States project, we bring you North Carolina - First in flight. We don't know which of the Wright brothers this kitty is. Heck, we are pretty sure neither of them had a flight helmet or goggles either. The scarf is really more of a fashion statement ;)
Welcome, and hello to all our fans in North Carolina.

You're a star

A Squaredy Cat as Paul Stanley, the Star Child from KISS.

This is the last of the KISS Squaredy Cats from our fandom collection. We had fun making them since KISS is so much fun. Some of the fans on the Facebook page didn't know who they are, but that's okay. The star child is about going after your dreams, and letting nothing stop you. That's what we stand for too! Do what you love, and be a star!

Ace Kitty

A Squaredy Cat as Ace Frehley.

Shock Me is one of Ace Frehley's most popular songs from KISS. The caption may seem a little awkward if you know how Squaredy Cats captions are supposed to work, but Ace Frehley is awkward too. Probably the most controversial member of KISS from the fact that he was in the band - out of the band - a member again - not a member - hired back - left again. His make-up is so much fun. We just KNEW it would look good on a Squaredy Cat.
See the other members of KISS, and more fandom Squaredy Cats on our Facebook page.
