It's National Running Day

To everyone who runs for fun, for fitness, for school, for competition: Have a great run today :)

Happy National Running Day! Why do YOU run?

Happy Memorial Day

We'd like to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day. Thank you to all the service men and women who have given their lives for our country, and to those who served in any capacity. Some people forget what this weekend is about, but we're not squared to remember.

This one is inspired by the iconic image of General Patton giving his speech in the film with George C. Scott.

Yo yo, NoDak!

Our 50 states of Squaredy Cats project is finally winding down. Just a few to post. We just finished designing them. We finally ended up getting at least one vote for every state. That means we have a fan in every state in the US! That's pretty awesome! So, thank you to the fans on North Dakota. We posted yours on our Facebook Page yesterday.

May The Fourth Be With You!

Happy National Star Wars Day from Squaredy Cats (with apologies to George Lucas)! We always wanted to make some Star Wars Squaredy Cats, and now we found the perfect excuse. Maybe we'll add some more to our "Fandom" collection down the line, but for now, here's the personification of Star Wars, Darth Vader himself (with apologies to David Prowse, James Earl Jones, Sebastian Shaw, Hayden Christensen and Jake Lloyd)!

Earth Day - Electric boogaloo

It's Earth Day, everybody! We can't all drive electric cars like Squaredy Cats (the creators actually drive a Mini Cooper). We, at the company, Monkey Doodle Dandy do everything we can to be as green as possible. We reuse scrap paper as often as possible, and use recycled materials whenever we can What kinds of things do you suggest we do to be even more green as the inventors of Squaredy Cats?

Speak for Autism

It's Autism Awareness Week. Please take a minute to look at these links to familiarize yourself with the disorder or to donate to the mission to find a cure.

Corned beef leftovers :P

We hope everyone had as great a St. Patrick's Day as we did! Not squared to go green!

Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!!!

We learned from our friends at Catsparella from their post today that it's Dr. Seuss' birthday! So, to celebrate, we made a Squaredy Cat in the hat ;)

Happy birthday Dr. Seuss! This is for you!

Happy Presidents' Day!

Wish we had off from school, but we don't go to school :/

Happy Presidents' Day! Happy birthday George Washington, and Happy birthday, Abraham Lincoln :)

Nerd for Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! Who else is a nerd for candy? Which candies make you goofy?

Does your BFF know about Squaredy Cats?

Happy Groundhog Day

Today is Groundhog Day, and we've gotten mixed results from all the groundhogs around the country. Some said spring is coming early, some saw their shadow, and said six more weeks of winter. Considering all the snow we've been getting we think it's obvious. What do you think?

It's Chinese New Year!

Happy New Year! It's the year of the rabbit in China!

Happy belated National Pie Day

Awww, we missed National Pie Day too. We lost internet over the weekend and couldn't post. So, happy belated National Pie Day (January 23). Did you eat pie? We had pizza :P

We missed National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day

Seriously. It's really a holiday. Did you answer your cats questions on January 22nd? Did your cat even ask you a question? Perhaps, "What are you squared of?"

Hugs to our fans

Thanks to our Facebook fan, Abigail who alerted us to this adorable national holiday. It's National Hugging Day, January 21, 2011. Hugs to everybody who loves Squaredy Cats!

Hug the Squaredy Cats as soon as you see one :)

The search for squares is on

We made this cat for our "Interwebs" series on our Facebook page, but we never posted it to the blog, Twitter or our Tumblr. There's something interesting about this cat because she rarely shows up in a Google image search, but there are a LOT of interesting results otherwise ;)  ...

Share in the dream

The dream is unfolding. In 1963 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a speech that will forever ring in America and the world. Take a moment today to consider what Dr. King's dream means to you as an individual, to us as a nation, and to the world we live in. It's our own responsibility to work toward this dream of peace and equality. Express yourself, and share in the dream :)

The Zodiac Series continues!

We welcome all our new Ophiuchus friends!

Last year when we finished our Zodiac Series we were sad because we had fun making them, and knew our fans were having fun seeing them as they came out. Now with some new astronomical discoveries that supposedly affect astronomy we have a constellation that is being recognized again after thousands of years of neglect.

A Squaredy Cat as the new Ophiuchus astrology sign!

We Love Love Love cats AND dogs

Even the creators of Squaredy Cats have a dog. Cats and dogs living together is a microcosmic example of peace. Hope you agree. Don't be squared of dogs (especially if they're just cats in dog costumes).
